Here is a quick update on the progress of Corfu Estate Agents' new office in Kendroma.
The replica doors and windows are now in place on all exterior openings and the interior is now ready for painting.
The stone backlit sign has been hung on the front wall and the steel railings and gate will soon be put on the front fence.
Capital controls mean the building works have been slow and purchase restrictions have meant delays. Very disappointing but progress is being made and the craftsmanship is of a high standard.
After 14 years successfully running Corfu Estate Agents from an office in Acharavi, Lefteris Tsoukalas has rebranded and is now relocating to a new, contemporary office in Kentroma square, on the main east coast road.
The office is a captivating stone building which is being professionally renovated by Lefteris to maintain the integrity of the century old, former kafeneion.
Work has progressed well with extreme detail. The roof was rebuilt using the original tiles and a stone cornice built with the local pink and white limestone. The render was removed from the exterior walls revealing great stone work which has now been pointed. The internal pavers, which are over 100 years old, have now been placed on the forecourt. The shutters have been replicated as well as the hinges and locks.
Corfu Estate Agents' new office will be open shortly.
